All SIPA doctors are independent contractors who have signed participation agreements with SIPA under which they agree, on certain terms, to provide health care services to patients enrolled in health care plans that have contracted with SIPA. SIPA doctors are not employees or agents of SIPA and maintain their own separate medical practices and generally retain the right to decide whether to participate under any contracts that SIPA enters with health insurers and managed health care plans. SIPA provides administrative support to its contracting physicians, including contract administration and credentialing. SIPA does not provide health care services, control, or manage the delivery of health care.
